Before I wanted to lose weight but I now I think it would be easier just to build more muscle, how 2 do this?

I’m 6′ 2" and 250 lbs and I wanted to lose about 50 lbs, but I’ve given up on this and accepted that my computer heavy/ time limited lifestyle will always keep me fat.
Instead I decided to use what little time I have to build more muscle instead so that I can be 250 lbs and still be pretty healthy and strong.
Is this possible and if so how do I accomplish this?

Yes I know it’s possible to lose weight and build muscle at the same time but I’m really only interested in building muscle now, and not counting calories. I hope this makes sense.
