Body Building?

I have reasonably skinny arms and would like to build some muscle on my biceps and abs. I have dumb bells at home but they don’t seem to be working. If anybody has a workout routine they would like to share plz do.

Make sure you aren’t loosing weight, if you are then you need to eat more, that could be the reason why you aren’t seeing a gain. You also need to carry out the exercise slowly, about 4 seconds contracting and 6 seconds relaxing the muscle. If you are doing standing bicep curls then don’t let your body move backwards and forwards, you want the biceps to do the work, not your shoulders and abs. As with any muscle strengthening, you need to train opposing muscle groups; if you build your biceps, build your triceps aswell. If you are still having trouble after that, increase the weight, reps or sets.

You shouldn’t train any muscle 2 days in a row abs are muscles so they are no different. Include 1 or 2 days of total rest; no working out.

If you have skinny arms, consider this- Triceps make up 2/3 of your upper arms and biceps make up 1/3 of your upper arms. So you don’t only want to build biceps, but you want to build triceps too.

Abs, you need to do cardio to lose the layer of fat on your stomach or you’ll never see abs. You also need to do ab workouts, crunches, sit ups, bicycles, leg lifts will help build abs. Work abs every other day or 2-3 times per week.

Only work each body part 1 or 2 times per week(besides abs), muscles need rest to recover, overtraining is very common, so don’t overtrain.
