Add some leg presses and/or squats to build muscle and eliminate the flab in your legs. Keep in mind it took years to make your legs the way they are, so give it some time to get them toned up.

The running and walking on the treadmill are good, too. Keep that up.

Finally, you didn’t say what you eat, but that has a lot to do with how fast you get results. If the food you eat is putting weight on you as fast as your workouts take it off, it will take a lot longer to get the results you want.

I recommend a vegetarian diet with a lot of whole grains(oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread and pasta), beans, a variety of steamed vegetables, fruit for dessert, and some nuts. Meat and milk are fattening, containing hormones, antibiotics, and pesticides fed to the animals. If you want more protein, go for a small serving of salmon or snapper — it has much less fat than meat.

Other strength-training exercises for your thighs are Lunges with dumbells in your hands. Always start with light weights so you don’t cause a strain or tear something. Lift carefully, concentrating on your "form". Feel the muscles that are being worked. Don’t push them too hard.

Hope these ideas help you achieve your goal!

Run up stairs on your toes.

As the first guy said. Lots and lots of squats. And by that I mean deep squats. Hamstrings touch your calves deep if you can.
