You cannot spot-reduce the midsection by doing extra ab exercises like crunches or sit-ups. You first must burn off the body fat through proper cardio to properly define the area. Abdominal training by itself will not do much. Cardio needs to be intense enough to do the trick. Three to four sessions a week of intense jogging, running, the Stairmaster, the elliptical, jumping rope, or biking should be enough to get the process in gear. Swimming, hiking, and taking aerobics classes are beneficial as well. Nothing beats jogging or running. It is the most intense, efficient, and effective method of burning calories. <p>People often think that to build muscle they have to workout in the gym for hours and hours on end when really all the time they should be spending lifting weights should really only be 45 mins to an hour. If you weight train for hours on end, you are then burning the candle at both ends. You can do a full body weight training workout by using the formula of 1&#215;10 reps using light weights to warm your muscles up then max out straight away with no rest to heavier weights and do 1&#215;10 reps with as much weight as you can handle but still using good form! How to build muscle fast (Episode 3 of 3) is to be followed every Friday for 6 weeks&#8230; Please watch Episode 1 and follow that every Monday, and watch episode 2 and follow that one every Wednesday.
